April 29, 2014 Palas de Rei to Arzua
Tough day. This was a long stage. We left Palas de Rei at around 7:45 AM. They call this 28 Km stage in Spanish "Rompe Piernas" which literally means "Broken Legs". Many tough climbs up and down in the mountains with beautiful scenery, tremendous amounts of greenery and flowers and waterfalls and streams - just unbelievable. We are all feeling the climb up and down and need that hot shower. Great food today typical of the area , Gallego soup, Padron peppers, cod and seafood soup.
