Day 8 - April 12 - Leon to San Martin del Camino

Today we resumed our walk. The rest day did us all a lot of good. Larry has fully recovered thanks to the help of Jose and Ed. They missed their calling by not becoming podiatrists when they had a chance.

We learned a few days ago that you cannot walk the distances we are walking without feeding the bodthe body enough fuel. Thus, we had a large breakfast at the hotel. Our total walk today was 16.4 miles and we walked it all in the rain. It was utterly miserable but we persevered until we reached our planned destination at San Martin del Camino.Loos like the weather is going

It's good to have Larry back with us full time and have all of our feet are running at at least 90%.

Looks like the weather is going to take a turn for the better starting tomorrow. Tomorrow's stage will take us to Astorga and another fiffteen miles closer to Santiago.
